this happened to me and my friend. some people thought we were going out, and this one teacher literally thought we were interchangeable even though we were different voice types and didn’t look alike.
Does being mistaken for my friends’ mother count?

Okay, let’s look at the facts here. In America, whites dominate. In England, whites dominate. In Rwanda, the Hutus dominated. The Hutus dominated and were racist to the Tutsi because they were in power. Let’s say you are the only white person in Rwanda, and you got your feelings hurt by some Hutus because of your race. That would be racism because the Hutus are the dominate race. Everything clicking now?
not to be a pain, but you literally just said you can’t be racist against whites. you should’ve qualified your first statement with “in areas where whites dominate” if you wanted to take this pov.

However, IF your equation was correct and racism “required” power, then I have something to tell you.
I live in a small community where I, as a “white girl” am among the minority. Most of the white kids where I live have been rejected from at least one job interview because we were the wrong colour. That means that the employers were prejudice and had power.
but I’m white so it couldn’t be racism, right
don’t you know, white people are in power everywhere, even when they’re in the minority, so it’s always ok to mistreat them duh
